03 / A familiar scale, with context
Face Rating
Face rating is easier to interpret when the scale is explicit. If your question is “rate my face,” this free tool returns a score out of ten from the same four geometric dimensions used in our detailed analysis. It is a reference match for one photo, not a vote, a percentile, or an objective measure of how good you look.

A geometric reference match, shaped by product-selected rules. It is not an objective measure of beauty or your worth.

JPG, PNG or WebP · up to 30 MB · one adult face
Photo bytes and facial landmarks stay in this browser tab. We do not upload them, store them in localStorage, or attach them to model downloads.
The detector loads asynchronously after you start. The first run may take longer; your photo is not sent with the model request.

The 10-point rating is the overall geometry score divided by ten. It does not add a second model or an independent opinion.Rate my looks out of 10
A ten-point number is familiar, but it needs a defined meaning. This page converts the overall geometry reference score to a rating out of ten without changing the underlying measurements. A 7.5 reading therefore corresponds to 75 on the hundred-point scale, not to being more attractive than seventy-five percent of people. The same capture conditions and method version are needed before two photo ratings are worth comparing.
What a face rating can tell you
The result describes how closely selected measurements match our stated references. It can help you notice a changed camera angle or understand why two images produce different readings. It cannot predict dating success, represent a crowd’s opinion, or diagnose an appearance problem. The reference bands below apply to the original hundred-point score; divide the boundaries by ten when reading this page’s scale.
- 0–<60Variable match to the selected references
- 60–<75Mixed match across the selected references
- 75–<87Broad match to the selected references
- 87–100Strong match to the selected references
The calculation behind the number
The detector finds facial landmarks locally, then combines mirror geometry at 30%, visible mesh thirds at 25%, horizontal fifths at 25%, and a chosen proportion reference at 20%. The score uses a documented mapping from geometric deviation to reference match. No crowd votes or demographic ranking are added. Open the measurement details to inspect the inputs, or visit the four-dimension view for the separate contributions.
Questions, answered
How does this face rating work?+
The tool detects a single face in your photo and calculates four geometric reference-match dimensions. Their weighted sum produces a hundred-point result, which this page divides by ten. It does not ask other users to vote or use your identity. The numbers concern visible photo geometry and should not be treated as a complete assessment of attractiveness.
Can I ask the tool to rate my face for free?+
Yes. Select an authorized photo of one adult and run the analysis on this device. There is no account requirement or payment step for this test. The first analysis may wait for a model download, so its speed depends on your connection and device. Your image is processed locally rather than being sent with that download.
Is this an AI face rater or a human voting site?+
It is a local landmark detector followed by explicit geometry rules. The detector is a machine-learning model, but the final rating is calculated from the published reference method. There is no panel of human judges, popularity contest or live audience behind the score. The term AI describes the detection component, not proof of an objective beauty standard.
What is a good rating out of 10?+
There is no validated universal cutoff for a good-looking person in this tool. Higher numbers mean closer agreement with the references we selected, while lower numbers mean greater measured deviation in this image. The labels describe reference matching only. They do not say whether people will like your appearance, and they are not population statistics.
Is a 7.5 rating the same as a 75 attractiveness score?+
Yes, when both readings use the same photo, detected measurements and scoring version. The ten-point view is a display conversion of the overall hundred-point score, not another evaluation. Some values are rounded for readability, so a displayed rating should be read with its underlying exported score rather than interpreted as a precise human preference measurement.
Why does a selfie change my face score?+
Camera distance and lens perspective can change apparent proportions even when your face has not changed. A very close selfie often exaggerates nearer features, while head rotation changes visible widths. For comparisons, use similar distance, a neutral expression and a front-facing pose. A geometry score is a reading of the photograph, so these capture effects matter.
Can I use face rating to choose a profile photo?+
You can compare the measured geometry of consistent photos, but a profile photo also communicates warmth, expression, style and context that the score does not measure. Do not automatically choose whichever number is highest. Look at the image yourself and consider what you want it to communicate. The practical guide offers ideas beyond optimizing a single metric.
What happens to my photo after rating?+
The selected picture and facial landmarks remain in the tab’s memory during this local test. We do not upload them or put them in localStorage. Removing the photo clears the current result and stops the analysis state. If you choose to save a JSON file, it contains readings and method details, without the picture, original filename or landmark coordinates.
